The stereo USB AD Converter serves as a dual mono input, allowing users to effectively mix two independent inputs into a stereo signal. By connecting any compatible USB analog-to-digital converter to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch* through the Camera Connection Kit, the stereo inputs can be utilized as individual mono inputs. This functionality enables the mixing of two instruments with line level output** into a cohesive stereo signal, complete with level control and stereo panning features.
The DMIMixer also accommodates both built-in and connected microphones; however, in this scenario, both channels will utilize the same mono input. Despite this limitation, users can still adjust pan and amplification levels while monitoring the input signal.
With support for Audiobus, DMIMixer allows for filtering and recording of instruments using preferred Audiobus-enabled applications.

* Compatibility extends to iPad2, iPhone4, and iPod Touch 4th generation or newer models, requiring iOS 7 or later. Note that older devices such as the iPhone 4 may only support microphone input through the Camera Connection Kit, resulting in limited functionality within DMIMixer.
** For connecting external microphones or guitars, use a D/A converter that accepts microphone-level inputs, or consider utilizing a separate preamplifier to achieve line-level signals.
